Achieving multidisciplinary teams that are self-organized by short-term objectives and reducing the time of meetings, which are more recurrent and productive.

We are pleased to share that Goal Systems continues to move forward with the implementation of SAFe in the pursuit of excellence in order to uphold the highest standards of quality and optimization that identify us.

Goal Systems is the leading company in transport optimization. Since its establishment in 1992, it is constantly adapting to the new transport demands and trends, and including the most cutting-edge technologies for all its products.

As a company specialized in the management optimization, the last method to manage work, that is SAFe, could not be missing from the culture of our company.

SAFe® is a knowledge base to adopt agile working methods in big companies. It shows graphically a management model to scale the application of the agile practices from a computer to the software management and from the software management to the whole organization.

In Goal, we have been working with SAFe for some time now, but the arrival of the pandemic increased the need of upholding the productivity and quality levels that characterize us and the need of learning to manage the processes remotely. It was crucial to take a further step in the escalated implementation of agile methodologies, such as Lean, Agile and DevOps.

We have continued investing in our employees’ training and also, we have included a complete team of Product Owners and a Scrum Master, that will ensure the follow-up of the methodology in the meetings, and will solve any problem that may arise. “A trained company is an updated company.”

Led by a SAFe implementation roadmap, several trainings have been performed aimed to all the levels of the organization, depending on the specific role of every employee: SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM), SAFe® DevOps Practitioner (SDP) and SAFe® for Teams (SP).

SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) allows to apply the Lean thinking to split the Epics, refine the Features and Stories, manage the Program and Team backlogs, and plan and execute Iterations in Program Increments, just like discover how the Continuous Delivery Pipeline and the DevOps culture contribute to the continuous improvement of the ART.

SAFe® DevOps Practitioner (SDP) provides an overview to understand the skills of DevOps necessary to speed up the time-to-market when improving the value flow through the Continuous Delivery Pipeline. Understanding how to map the current value flow through the Delivery Pipeline since the idea to the real profit, and identifying those actions that will delete the bottlenecks. Understanding the value flow since the Continuous Exploration to the Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment and Release on Demand.

SAFe® for Teams (SP) allows to consolidate the agility of teams from Agile Release Train, providing the employees with the necessary knowledge to be a member of the high-performance teams and to effectively collaborate with other teams.

During the last months, more than a third of our employees has been trained in some kind of SAFe training. These trainings have received excellent feedback because they allow to increase the productivity and to turn the attendees into high-performance workers. This way, our mission and vision are still the engine that drives the organization.

Achieving multidisciplinary teams that are self-organized by short-term objectives and reducing the time of meetings, which are more recurrent and productive.

The goal of these progresses is to maintain our leading position in the sector, considering the rate of innovation and the quick evolution of the users’ needs, by making the communication easier and more fluid, either internally or with our clients, and redefining the corporate structure of the company.
