Intelligent Planning System for Collective Transport with Optimized Routes Creation
Goal Systems, acting as coordinator, and the Planning and Learning research Group, PLG, from the University Carlos III of Madrid, acting as partner, were awarded an aid to finance the “Intelligent Planning System for Collective Transport with Optimized Routes Creation” project implementation.
This aid was granted by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (MINECO) on the State Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation Program 2013-2016; call on for Challenges-Collaboration of the State Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation Program
geared to social challenges.
This project consists of developing an optimal planning software tool (SW) to solve the issues related to route generation.
One of the outputs of the tool is the optimal and automatic generation of route supply, taking the demand as an input.
This demand can include passengers/material pick-up from multiple origins to the same destination or passengers/material distribution from the same origin to multiple destinations.
The application serves for any collective transport sector, even it is valid for school transport service.
